Cam and I reenact my favorite scene from Dumb and Dumber
“Out with the bad air! In with the good!”
Cam trains for his driver’s license
Mommy bought him his first truck, and already Cam can drive just as good as she can!
Cam sings bedtime stories
Cam and I sing some Dora the Explorer and “the moon song” during my failed attempts to calm him down to sleep.
Cam kisses a frog
Cam tries to turn a frog into a princess, but instead just freaks his cousin Soph out.
Happy Birthday Cam!
Cam turns 3 today, and my gift to him is THIS video. I don’t think it can LEGALLY be considered child abuse, but you be the judge.
Uncle Flan wrestles with Cam (and our dogs)
Flan wrestled with Cam (and was humiliated) for 7 hours straight. I boiled the match down to 6 1/2 minutes of highlights.
Cam’s super Father’s Day card
Thanks buddy – that’s the best Father’s Day card I could ever have wanted.
We’re adopting again – and again after that?

Ok, so I’m WAY freakin’ behind on blogging. I keep making lists of things I want to write, rant and review, but in the end it comes down to me just thinking “This is a blog…so blog!”
Many of you know this already, but Aim and I are adopting again. There has been a weird Quentin Tarantino sequence of events so far that would be too difficult to describe right now…but the long and short of it is that after starting the Columbia and Nepal programs at different times and having some disappointing experiences, we took a crazy idea from our adoption counselor and are now pursuing BOTH countries.
I think the idea is that if one track goes quickly and the other remains stale, we’ll just go through with one adoption for now. For example, I think Nepal’s government was just overthrown so, uh, we might not be going there anytime soon.
Please don’t even begin to ask about the who/what/when/where/why about how we got here or how this will play out. We are crazy people. I will keep posting as details roll in. For now, I just wanted everyone to know we got on the adoption roller coaster and said, “Dear God, our life didn’t have enough drama with the first adoption…so let’s do it again! And maybe again after that!”
Cam sings The Wheels on the Bus
If being president or a soccer star doesn’t work out for Cam, I think he’s still got a future as a choir director.
